Using What We Have

We’re giving our warmest welcome to fall fashions 🤎 But this year, you may have noticed a small shift in the new styles we’ve been able to bring you.

Our mission to bring you sustainable styles remains the same as since we opened our virtual doors in 2014. This means utilizing many natural resources found in abundance near the towns of our makers but even in the faraway villages where our makers live, they’ve experienced supply chain issues just like we have here at home. This means that some of the designs we’ve been dreaming up for months (and longer), weren’t able to be crafted as expected. The solution? Let’s pivot to rely more on the reclaimed materials that already exist!

Sometimes challenges yield the best results, and this challenge brought us so many new (and now customer favorite) styles that may not have existed had we not faced this obstacle. Our new line of hats have flown off the shelves. Our ponchos and blanket scarves were an instant hit. And we have even more new styles coming this holiday season that will fall in the “happy accident” category.

We have such a talented team of makers and dreamers that are pros at creating something to love out of remnants and scraps. And we couldn’t be more overjoyed that our customers are loving how we chose to pivot this year.
