I Thought of You is a new company that sells Fair Trade goods that are not only beautiful, but also have beautiful stories behind them. Each piece transforms lives in a real way by offering sustainable income opportunities for people in developing countries.
Four years ago, I retired from a 30 year career as a social worker to help care for my grandchildren. Although it is rewarding and I love the memories we are making together, I missed adult interaction. My son was in Appalachia and told me of the poverty there. I identified a school to donate school supplies and warm clothing to. Then I found I Thought of You and became a Curator. Ten percent of my sales are dedicated to purchasing items for the Welch Elementary School. I can't wait to spread the word and awareness of Fair Trade while helping the children in Welch.
To date, I Thought of You has purchased over 60,000 pieces from craftspeople worldwide.
