30 Days of Gratitude

Earlier this year, I logged one thing I was grateful for each day. I think of myself as a pretty positive person, but that’s easier said than done on really trying days. Sometimes the things that bring the most stress also bring the most joy. Hiding or shaming our negative emotions isn’t healthy, emotions in the “sad” category should expressed and explored and not immediately suppressed. But, recognizing that there is some good in every day, can help you be grateful for the life you have and give you a reason to search out the positive, even when it might be a little tough to come by.   Below are my gratitude observations each day: Day 1: This morning’s hot...

Finding Gratitude

With 2017 behind us, we wanted to take a reflective look at what has been to set us up for a great year ahead. Sometimes it’s easier to see the negatives in life, but they can help us to remind us of the good that surrounds us each day. We’re grateful for:Early wake-ups, from children we love.A house to clean, our safe place to live.Laundry to do, we have clothes to wear.Dishes to wash, our bellies are full.Crumbs on the floor, from sharing meals with loved ones.Grocery shopping, funds to provide for those we care for.Toilets to clean, we have indoor plumbing.A noisy house, people we love in our life.Endless homework questions, from growing minds.Tiredness after a long day of work,...

A Sincere Thank You

A Sincere Thank You

Thank you for being a part of our story.   I Thought of You was launched during Thanksgiving of 2014 with a mission of creating positive change for people in developing countries. We’ve accomplished that, and continue to #spreadhope throughout the towns and villages of our artisans every day. But we’ve gained so much more than we initially set out to accomplish.   We are not a charity. We are a force that empowers.   Together, our social mission has improved the lives of men and women in developing nations. Together, we’ve created jobs. Together, we’ve purchased over 65,000 handmade items that make a difference.   You’ve joined in furthering this cause in so many ways. Each customer who has...
